Bright Moments at Home With Interior Decorator & Textile Designer, Heather Chadduck

A beautiful life starts at home, now more than ever. As we could all use a little joy and light right now, we're here to share our latest campaign, Bright Moments at Home featuring our rattan lamps styled at home with some of our favorite New Traditionalist tastemakers.

First up is Heather Chadduck! Heather's refined eye for mixing antiques, pattern, and color has cultivated a coveted style in interior design that is cozy yet sophisticated and one we simply can't get enough of! Our Plumpton Pencil Rattan Lamp, sporting a fabric lampshade featuring Heather's textile design, feels so natural in this space surrounded by beautiful chinoiserie and soft green hues.

Heather Chadduck Hillegas is an interior decorator, textile designer, and photo stylist. Her work has been widely published in national magazines, books, and catalogs for more than 20 years. Heather's current projects include lake houses in Arkansas and North Carolina, an historic 1800s home in Delaware, a farmhouse in Connecticut, a luxury yacht in the Bahamas, the 2019 Southern Living Idea House, and several commissions in her current hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. She lives with her husband, travel and lifestyle photographer David Hillegas, in a newly renovated 1920s clapboard colonial that was featured in the October 2018 issue of House Beautiful

Heather studied fine arts at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she developed an eye for mixing antiques, pattern, and color. Before launching her own design business, she inspired millions of readers through her editorial work at Cottage Living and Coastal Living, and most recently as the Style Director of Southern Living. Her botanical-inspired fabrics are now sold in trade showrooms across the country.

The entry hall is a favorite room in our home.  It’s the “first impression room” when people visit Pineapple House.  I’m always restyling the top of the octagonal skirted table, which is one of my signature pieces to incorporate in a home.  The constant rotation of decorating books and seasonal flowers and fronds, keeps it fresh and welcoming.

One of my favorite traditionalists touches is a custom made empire lampshade with cheerful fabric.  It adds personality to any room!
