Accessibility
Compliance Status
Society Social is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of ability. We believe the internet should be available and usable by everyone.
To that end, we aim to adhere to the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 (WCAG 2.2) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including blindness, motor impairments, visual impairment, and cognitive disabilities.
Our website uses an accessibility interface that allows visitors with specific disabilities to adjust the site's user interface to their personal needs. Additionally, an AI-based application runs in the background to continually optimize accessibility — remediating HTML, and adapting functionality for screen readers and keyboard navigation.

Screen Reader and Keyboard Navigation
Our website implements ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes, along with behavioral adjustments, so that visitors using screen readers can navigate and understand the site's functions. Screen reader users receive a prompt upon entering the site to activate a Screen-Reader Profile for optimized browsing.
Screen reader support includes:
-
Accurate form labels, descriptions for actionable icons (social, search, cart, etc.), validation guidance, and defined element roles (buttons, menus, modals)
-
Ongoing scanning of site images to provide meaningful ALT text where missing, including OCR-extracted text from images
-
Compatibility with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack
-
Screen reader adjustments can be activated at any time via Alt+1
Keyboard navigation support includes:
-
Full site operability via Tab / Shift+Tab, arrow-key dropdown navigation, Esc to close menus, and Enter to trigger buttons and links
-
A content-skip menu available via Alt+2, or as the first focusable element when navigating by keyboard
-
Keyboard focus is automatically directed to pop-ups when triggered, and contained within them until dismissed
-
Shortcut keys: M (menus), H (headings), F (forms), B (buttons), G (graphics)
