9 Months Later-- We're building!

When we put our offer in on land last summer "just to see" if it would work out we truly thought if it did, we would be in our new home by this summer! June, even! How incredibly silly of us! (Insert all the laughing and crying emojis) Life has a funny way of putting you in your place and we are currently living in my childhood bedroom until the end of the year--at the earliest!

I will spare you the details but if you would like a little more I talk about it a bit here! We finally have a closing date in April and to manifest that we do not run into any further delays, I'm sharing a few inspiration pics below!

Also!! In our design research I've discovered and re-discovered so many amazingly talented builders and designers. Next month we'll be kicking off a series in which they'll be sharing their insider tips and resources! 

We've had so much fun dreaming up the house of our dreams in our sleepy small town where I grew up (Society Social NC is here, too!) and I hope you enjoy tagging along :)

We'll have a bar in our house! I can't even believe it. We lived in 300ish square feet and didn't even have a microwave, laundry in our building, a linen or coat closet until 2016. I plan on going for it like Bailey McCarthy did in her Texas home!

I fully intend on going wild with wallpaper in the powder and other bathrooms in the house, but this bathroom is one of my all time faves as far as master bathroom inspiration goes! Isn't it dreamy? White, gold, and marble never gets old. And the floors! This is from another husband and wife team that does incredible work. The always calssic The Fox Group.

I have all of the thoughts on Kitchens! Living Rooms, outdoor spaces, at home offices, and dining but that is all for now! More to come soon!
