Poppin' {BABY!} Bottles

Y'all! Alan and I are having a baby! After 14 years together and almost 10 years of marriage, we are so so happy to be able to say that :) 

Over the years, I've had a gazillion people ask me- when? When?! WHEN?!?! Some even touching my belly (what?!), many repetitively, and I would always try to politely answer, "We'll see! Maybe in a few years!" But to be completely honest our family furniture factories have seen better days. The recession hit our local NC community really hard, it was the heart of furniture manufacturing for decades, after all. Although I hardly knew a thing about the furniture business, and even if there wasn't someone clearly at the helm, I couldn't let that happen. I had to try and I knew if I didn't focus 100% there was a chance we would lose it all- a bevy of jobs and 30 years of my parents' dreams and hard work. 
 
Lord knows the past 6 years have not been easy (shoo y'all have no idea!), but through my own little biz Society Social, which I launched in the midst of this all, we've been able to keep two factories afloat. It has meant so much to me to be able to help provide for my family and for the families that have worked with us for years!

I fully realize life is a series of up's and down's, but with business doing much better than before (phew, 2016 was a doozy!), I'm just so grateful and it is beyond wonderful to be able to finally take some time for my little family with Alan Dale! Even if it wasn't 100% planned out and officially on my Google calendar ;)

Yep! Totally pregs here (clueless!),
 here (took a test about 30 mins before this because I was so sick!),
and here (petite bebe's been workin 2 jobs already!)

p.s. In between filming weeks for HGTV, San San Te took the time to do the most fun gender reveal for Alan and I! And mom and dad were straight up hilarious when we told them the news! I'll be writing about that soon if you would like to know!
