How a Quaint Brooklyn Neighborhood Inspired Our Latest Collection

Our latest collection was born on the streets of Brooklyn! What started as a leisurely walk around Cobble Hill's tree-lined streets led us to a quaint antique shop boasting a quirky collection of vintage rattan. Inspired by these found treasures, Roxy and the design team put pencil to paper, dreaming up a full collection of seasonless rattan at home from Brooklyn to the beach. 8 months later, our sketches finally came to life and it was time to celebrate the launch of Year Round Rattan. It only felt right to take a trip back to the place where it all started! We packed our bags (and the Warren Street Stool) and made our way back to the heart of Cobble Hill for a fun photoshoot as well as a visit to a few neighborhood gems. Our Warren Street Stool came along for the ride and found herself perfectly at home amongst the cozy cafes and brownstone lined streets. Scroll below to peep our favorite neighborhood spots!

Located on a quiet tree-lined street in Cobble Hill, Poppy's famous catering business opens up its cafe doors on the weekends to serve up their beloved sweet treats, seasonal spritzers and signature coffees. The decor is minimalist modern and the vibe is laid back and local! Poppy's is the perfect spot for a breakfast date or a light lunch. If you find yourself in the 'hood, be sure to stop by for our team favorites -- their lavender honey spritz and stone fruit scones.

This hip Parisian-style neighborhood bistro is our go-to spot for late-night bites & brunch. Bar Tabac's colorful exterior infuses vibrant energy into Cobble Hill's Smith Street storefronts. If you're looking for a cozy spot with good food and a great ambience this is your place! Swing by for their live jazz nights and french inspired cuisine from nicoise salad and steak frites to avocado toast and mediterranean baked eggs.

We're firm believers that an afternoon latte is a must and that every meal needs to end with a sweet treat! With that mantra in mind, we sought out One Girl Cookies where we treated ourselves to a few cold brews and a box assortment of their bite-size cookies, our favorites being lemon rosemary shortbread and Mary's classic chocolate chip. Not only were the treats sweet, their cafe decor was comfortable and inviting as well! We situated ourselves at the corner table and enjoyed the fresh air and views the rolled up retro garage door had to offer.
