From Zero to Jardin de Jeux in 12 Hours
This year, Roxy was selected as one of the 5 designers to represent the B&F brand. Brunschwig & Fils asked for over-the-top, playful, maximalist style - 80% (or more!) pattern and color… and we delivered! Our team had 12 hours to transform a “white box” with B&F iconic textiles, bespoke Society Social furnishings, and home decor donated by incredible brands (listed below). Our space was then photographed by friend, collab partner, and incredible photographer, Nick Mele, and open to the public for a three-day shopping experience.
Behind the Design
Drawing from the rich French heritage of Brunschwig & Fils, our Jardin de Jeux is a tribute to Parisian whimsy—a playful, eccentric, and slightly unconventional homage to a glamorous game room. This enchanting space is enveloped in the iconic Jardin Fleuri, from the wallcoverings to the custom upholstery, and elevated by couture-inspired details like dramatic bespoke bow drapery, an opulent bullion fringe table skirt, and sumptuous velvets. It’s a colorful fusion of fashion with furnishings, offering an immersive experience that delights the senses, complete with trompe l'oeil draped wicker, champagne towers, dress-up fun, and plenty of opportunities to roll the dice.
"This project was the perfect platform to showcase the versatility of our designs and the endless possibilities of our custom options. It's similar to a showhouse, but smaller scale, where you can step outside the box and create a whimsical, over the top and unexpected world."
A huge thank you to our incredible sponsors: Currey & Co, Estelle Colored Glass, John Derian, Kayce Hughes, Kenian Home, Maison Madison, Mirth Studio, New Growth, Pooky Lighting, Riley Sheehey
Design and do good!
Escape to our elevated take on a ladies’ game room, a celebration of Parisian whimsy, designed by Roxy and handcrafted by our team for Design on a Dime’s 20th anniversary in collaboration with Brunschwig & Fils, benefiting Housing Works. Each year, the nation’s top interior designers create and curate stunning vignettes filled with premium home decor and furnishings donated by hundreds of top brands and makers. Items were marked up to 80% off retail prices and sold to benefit Housing Works’ efforts to provide housing and healthcare for all. $1.25M raised - more than ever before.
“What I’ve enjoyed most about working on this project is that it’s the perfect fusion of imagination and purpose. After spending a decade living in New York, returning to design a space that supports such a meaningful cause sparks my creativity like nothing else.” - Roxy
We began our design process with Jardin Fleuri, a wallpaper that’s been in our line for years and a personal favorite of Roxy’s - it even covers the walls in her home office. From there we selected complementary fabrics, one of them being Reverse Les Touches. Les Touches is a fabric that’s been in our line for years and a few years back we worked with the B&F team to develop two exclusive colorways - a french blue and hunter green - both signature to our brand. What we love about Les touches is that it’s an iconic print that’s been around for more than half a century, yet it still feels fresh, versatile, and complements every style.
Hello, butter yellow! Right now, this nostalgic shade feels especially fitting! For our dramatic showstopper piece, Roxy designed a bespoke bow in Brunschwig & Fils’ Girard fabric in the gold colorway – its vibrant golden yellow and buttery undertones create the perfect balance of warmth and luxury, framing the space with an inviting sense of playfulness and sophistication.
It was an absolute delight to bring this project to life and work alongside such a talented group of creatives. For those of you who were able to visit Design on a Dime’s 20th celebration in person, thank you for all of the social love on Instagram and for your charitable support of Housing Works. The space is no longer open to the public, however, you can take a piece of our Jardin de Jeux home with you here.
