Playful Design, Striking Texture
Designed by our team in collaboration with NuWallpaper , this realistic peel and stick grasscloth wallpaper is a timeless choice for elevating interiors. Varying shades of colors are exquisitely layered and accented with raised inks, created through premium printing techniques, that mimic the look and feel of real grasscloth. Inspired by our love of color and signature woven furniture designs, our creative director and founder, Roxy, worked closely with NuWallpapers, perfecting striation and saturation, and dreaming up a line of 10 classic and colorful offerings.
Behind the Collection
Last year, in response to the oversaturation of mid-century modern and minimalist decorating trends, the design world saw a return to cozy, layered, and warm interiors which beautifully came to life through a resurgence of tassels, trim, textures, and a wallpaper love affair. Maximalist design has always been at the very core of our business since our launch in 2011, with signature staples such as saturated colors, punchy prints and passementerie, and furniture in all of our favorite natural materials. Our goal is, and always has been, to offer traditional design with a modern twist, and to bring beautiful designer details to the mainstream. As with any collection launch, we searched high and low for what was missing in the marketplace. The result? Peel and stick grasscloth wallpaper -- an offering that beautifully blends two of our favorite categories, but at an accessible price point.
A Note From Roxy
"As a NYC renter for the majority of my adult life, as well as a wallpaper enthusiast, I struggled with the impracticality behind my desire to install designer wallcoverings. Our building didn't restrict wallpaper, so long as you removed it upon leaving, but the sunk cost of the product, installation, and at some point the removal, made it quite an inconvenient commitment. I was also frustrated by the lack of peel and stick options, specifically in the grasscloth category. Texture and color (greys and beiges amassed) never quite lived up to the gorgeous designer wallcoverings I was accustomed to seeing in my favorite spaces. Now as a first time homeowner, who would have no issue covering every wall in our house, a different problem presents itself -- a whole house budget must be considered. Handmade natural grasscloth wallpaper is labor intensive, which makes it very expensive."
