Playful Sophistication with Designer Katie Lindquist

Meet Katie

Interior designer and tastemaker, Katie Lindquist founded her boutique design firm in 2023 with offices in Summit, New Jersey and Charleston, South Carolina. Katie’s love of tradition and charm were solidified at an early age by the influence of her British parents and many summers spent abroad. She received both a B.A. in Art History and B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University. Studying in Italy and Prague sharpened her eye and honed her appreciation for the art, architecture and antiques, while attending the New York School of Interior Design formally solidified her passion for interiors.

"Society Social has become a necessary source for my design projects. Roxy and her team have created a timeless collection of all things home -- from furniture to the smallest accessory." - Katie

"The Blythe Tortoise Bar Cart has all the appeal of an antique but the function of brand new. It adds a timeless anchor to any room. Truly a showstopper."

"There are few design solutions as elegant and punctuating as Society Social's peel and stick faux grasscloth. Not only does it read like the real thing, it is easy to install, comes in multiple beautiful shades and is the ultimate revival to a tired bookcase. Instant chic."

Katie's Design Tip

"My design philosophy is to have my client's homes feel collected, never decorated. Homes that feel overly decorated often lack authenticity and warmth. If you love something, incorporate it into your design. There is always room for a touch of nostalgia."

Statement Making

Interior Designer Katie Lindquist welcomes us inside a few of her latest projects featuring Society Social styles; a sitting room fit for happy hour, a beautifully layered dining room, and a bookshelf transformation rich with texture and color.

Katie’s “Town and Country” aesthetic, reflected in both her life and work, garners the attention of those looking to capture an effortlessly chic effervescence in their homes and lifestyle. A fresh application to a classic, uptown taste sets her design work apart and she is sought after for her expertise in selecting art and antiques. After a decade of living and working in Manhattan, Katie now calls Summit, New Jersey home with her husband, three children and their beloved dog. As a family they spend as much time as possible in warm, history-filled Charleston, South Carolina.

A Sitting Room Fit for Happy Hour

Seriously, we're coming over! Our Jenny Table Skirt is giving main character energy in this punchy seating area rich with pattern, texture, and color. Meticulously crafted from a premium Italian linen-blend, complete with pretty tape trim and luxe tassels.

A Feast for the Eyes

Schumacher's Delft Tiger Palm wallpaper, botanical art and overflowing greenery, and rattan furnishings give this dining room an unmistakably fresh yet collected feeling. Our Blythe Tortoise Bar Cart, crafted from rattan with an artisan created faux tortoise finish, is ready for roaring (pun intended) dinner parties to come.

Playful Papers

Our Sage Green Faux Grasscloth Peel and Stick Wallpaper transformed these bookshelves from bare to bold. Designed by our team in collaboration with NuWallpaper, this realistic peel and stick offering is a timeless choice for elevating interiors. Varying shades of color are exquisitely layered and accented through raised inks, created through premium printing techniques, that mimic the look and feel of real grasscloth.

Thank you, Katie, for including us in your recent projects! We can't wait to see what dreamy spaces you create next!
