The Ming Raffia Console is carefully crafted of mahogany and then meticulously hand-wrapped in natural grasscloth. An intentional inset and option to add brass plated foot caps add an extra layer of polish and style. The look is finished off with a protective lacquer for form and function!

Roxy polled our Instagram followers to ask what is missing in the market. Over a hundred comments later, we had our mission: Narrow consoles, a stylish desk, and gorgeous burlwood. She then worked with our factories to make the most requested styles come to life.

  • Natural Grasscloth: Grasscloth can feature variations in color and weave. These variations are inherent characteristics of our designs and add to the natural and beautiful character of each piece. Claims and damages will not be considered for the aforementioned.
  • Painted Grasscloth: As an environmentally friendly brand, we've intentionally chosen water-based painted finishes vs lacquered, oil-based finishes. Although lacquered finishes can be more chip resistant, they are not only much more costly but also highly toxic and bad for the environment. Our painted pieces are given two coats of VOC free, non-toxic, exterior and furniture grade paint. With that said, painted furniture is not indestructible-- accidents can happen in transit and at home with you. A bottle of touch-up is sent out with each order to keep your piece looking fresh and at its best! Choosing water-based finishes is also what allows us to offer a wide range of colors while keeping prices accessible for what is traditionally a very high end category.
  • Natural Grasscloth: Your order will ship from our NC factory in approximately 2-3 weeks. Once your order leaves, shipping can take approximately 2-4 weeks based on your location. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, you may return your purchase 7 days after receipt of the order in its original packaging for the value of the merchandise. You will be responsible for the return shipping charges, the full outbound shipping charges as well as a 20% restocking fee. A refund will be initiated upon the receipt of the merchandise as long as the item is still in new condition.
  • Painted Grasscloth: These pieces are custom finished to order and will ship from our NC factory in approximately 4-6 weeks. Once your order leaves, shipping can take approximately 2-4 weeks based on your location. Due to the custom nature of this piece, this product is not returnable and can only be canceled within 24 hours of order placement.
  • Your order will arrive via White Glove Delivery which includes unpacking, removal of debris, and placement in room of choice.

  • As a small business, we take great pride in each order received and are thrilled to be a part of your home. Here are a few tips to keep your Society Social in its best shape overtime!
  • Although our raffia is coated with a protective finish, it’s a good idea to be mindful of the material. Like any natural material, similar to fabric, grasscloth can be subject to fading/discoloration when exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time. Water and other liquids can also cause damage. We recommend sourcing a UV glass top to keep your grasscloth in its best shape over time.
  • Grasscloth is a natural and handmade product and variations in color and texture are standard. These variations are not defects but are what add to the character of the material.
  • Regarding spills, like any wood or natural material, the finish can be damaged when spills are not wiped up in a timely manner. Do not leave sitting liquids! Do not use harsh chemicals to clean this piece!
