Social Guide to NYC: French Flair in the West Village

Bonjour petit bistro francais! This little, quite literally little, West Village gem is a must. Tartine is situated on a charming tree lined block and serves up unpretentious French fare from buttery, garlicky escargot to steak au poivre, and a sweet variety of pastries to seal the deal. Dine al fresco under the striped and scalloped awning, sip on a refreshing rose, byob by the way, and order my favorite (also a favorite of NY mag!) the spicy chicken with guacamole and french fries, a unique combination that is surprisingly perfect.
