This tip is partly inspired by all the food we've been stocking up in preparation for the lovely Hurricane Sandy, but is definitely something I like to keep in mind in general. Snacks and guests go hand in hand, and I think it's so important to have easily accessible snacks for people to eat without having to ask. You never know when a guest is going to be hungry, and chances are, they won't feel comfortable asking for food. It's also wise to keep snacks on hand for unexpected guests, because being prepared is never a bad thing!
